Water quality
The research area of Water Quality deals with input of substances into surface waters as well as transport, transformation and retention processes in water systems at different scales.
The model system MoRE (Modeling of Regionalized Emissions) developed in the department allows the regionally differentiated quantification of substance inputs. It is constantly being further developed and used in various projects as an analysis and reporting tool.
Representative substance-related data, which are essential as input data for modelling or for the plausibility check of model results, are increasingly generated by own monitoring activities.
Current research activities of this research area are documented in the list of current projects.
