Research

The Department of Urban Water Management and Water Quality Management is concerned with the management of water resources in urban areas and at river basin level.

Its work focuses on the areas of water quality, urban water balance and process development for wastewater treatment. The knowledge gained through a combination of basic and applied research is translated into practical measures and recommendations for water management.

The range of methods includes experimental work in the laboratory and pilot plant scale, field investigations, monitoring as well as data analysis and modelling.
