The goal of this project was to develop and test a modeling tool integrating meteorological, hydrological, hydraulical and dam-safety aspects of flood management for the Elbe and Mulde catchment. Discharge time series scenarios created with this tool were used to analyze and optimize the effect of various polders in Sachsen-Anhalt.
