The goal of this project was to analyze design storm values recently released by the German Weather Service (DWD), KOSTRA-DWD-2010, with respect to their applicability for design flood purposes and to compare them to the previous release, KOSTRA-DWD-2000.

In summary, for many regions in Baden-Württemberg substantial differences between the previous and the new release occured, especially with regard to hydrological design values derived from the design storms.
