Numerical Groundwater Modeling

Content

target audience:

students of the programs Civil Engineering M.Sc., Water Science and Engineering M.Sc., interested persons in topic Groundwater Modeling with background knowledge

learning target:

The participants can set up a numerical groundwater model for a given problem and can simalute a given scenario under guidance. They are able to describe the essential aspects of setting up the model. According to instructions, they can analyse the simulation results and can evaluate their validity with respect to the used numerical methods.

addressed topics:

  • numerical methods
  • space and time discretization
  • accuracy, stability
  • working on a study project
